What You Need to Know
A referendum is how school districts get necessary funding beyond state imposed revenue limits.
Wisconsin's revenue limit levels were set in 1993 with AASD set lower than most districts. It stopped rising with inflation in 2009. It has now fallen more than $2,000/student behind the state average.
AASD has already made cuts and needs residents to vote for an increase in the state issued limit to be able to meet student needs.
